Board Commends Teacher & Support Staff of the Year

The Avon Board of School Trustees honored 2022 Teacher of the Year Sara Randall and Support Staff of the Year Carol Ayler at their August 8 meeting by issuing commendations that highlight their success and dedication.

Sara Randall - Teacher of the Year

This is Mrs. Randall's third year in Avon Schools. She serves as a Speech Language Pathologist at River Birch Elementary. While her credentials as an SLP could have led her to work in a wide variety of settings, she chooses Avon students because she values the relationships she develops with students and their families and she values the professional environment in Avon.

Carol Ayler - Support Staff of the Year

Mrs. Ayler has served in a variety of roles in Avon Schools for the last 15 years. For the last several years she has been the Principal's Secretary at Avon High School. Widely respected for her deep knowledge of all facets of AHS and for her servant leadership, Mrs. Ayler loves working with Mr. Shockley, the administrative team, and the teachers, doing whatever she can to make their jobs easier.
